How do I register to vote?

Registering to vote is a very easy process! The Pennsylvania Department of State has a convenient web form that can be used to register entirely online. If you do not wish to register over the internet, so have several other options:

• Print out and complete this PDF, and mail it to the address indicated on page 2
• Register in person at your local voter registration office, PenDOT facility, or DMV
  • If you live in Clinton County, 2 Piper Way, Lock Haven, PA 17745
  • If you live in Union County, 155 North 15th St., Lewisburg, PA 17837

Am I even eligible to vote?

If all of the following are true, you are eligible to vote in Pennsylvania’s upcoming November 3rd election:

• You were born on or before November 3rd, 2008
• You have been a U.S. citizen since October 1st, 2026 or earlier
• You have lived in PA since October 3rd, 2026 or earlier

If you do not live in PA, there are still exceptions. Some types of living situations are considered temporary residencies, and you can still register in PA if you own property here:

• College student living on campus
• Active or deployed military personnel
• People who are in jail, prison, or under house arrest, but have not been convinced of a felony

U.S. citizens living abroad in a foreign country can also register to vote in PA. This requires requesting an absentee ballot.

How do I know if I’m registered?

Checking your registration status is very easy in PA! The Pennsylvania Department of State provides a convenient web form that can be used to check. After this, you are done checking! Other methods of finding out include:

I’ve already registered in Pennsylvania. Do I still need to do anything?

Ask yourself if any of the following are true?

• Has your name legally changed?
• Have you moved or has your address changed?
• Do you wish to change your political party affiliation? (Republican/Democrat/Independent/etc.)

If you answered no to all of these, then you’re good! You are still registered, and can vote as normal. If you answered yes to any of them, you will have to change your voter registration. This simply means re-registering, so you will have to fill out the application form again.

Can I get a mail-in ballot?

Yes! All Pennsylvanians can request a no-excuse mail-in ballot. This can be done by

• Indicating so on a voter registration form
